k&k sound pure resonator Der Pure Resonator SB ist ein Tonabnehmer mit zwei Transducer (Wandler). Er ist vor allem für Spider Bridge Resonator-Gitarren entwickelt. Das System wird im Resonatorkörper installiert (siehe Bilder). Keine Batterie erforderlich: Der Ausgangspegel dieses passiven Tonabnehmers reicht aus, um direkt vom Mischpult oder Verstärker verarbeitet zu werden.  

The  K&K Sound Pure Maccaferri XT We're proud to introduce a Maccaferri pickup that matches the tone quality you are used to from our Pure Mini pickups. The Pure Maccaferri XT is an external pickup system that easily intalls on any type of Maccaferri guitar, oval-hole or d-hole. The twin head pickup consists of a compression-mounted element in the arch of the bridge and a soundboard transducer. With this combination, we're able to achieve a great tone quality and very impressive and substantial volume before feedback. Installation The soundboard transducer uses a low-adhesion double-sided mounting tape, while the pickup in the arch stays in place through pressure. The jack clip is also attached with a double-sided adhesive that will not damage the finish of your guitar.

ABOUT THE DEFINITY SYSTEM The Definity System is a brand-new solution that delivers K&K's natural pickup power to a variety of difficult to amplify acoustic instruments in an elegant and easy-to-install package. It is designed to work with virtually any floating bridge instrument, like Archtop and Macaferri guitars, and even semi-acoustic electric guitars with Tune-o-matic bridges. It is also well-suited for the banjo, cello, and many ethnic or folk instruments like bouzouki, saz, etc. INSTALLATION NOTES One single pickup element usually transmits an entire instrument with good balance. The Definity System comes with a stereo endpin jack (soldered mono) that allows for future upgrades. The endpin jack includes a self-adhesive clip that can be removed. It allows you to choose internal or external jack locations. The pickup is only 6/1000 of an inch thin and measures 1 3/4” x 3/4” total. We call it a “compression pickup” because it is especially suited for “wedged” applications under a floating bridge. However, the pickup element is capable of transmitting sound like soundboard transducer as well. In fact, we found that the best tone is achieved if the pickup is mounted so it is partially “wedged” and partially open on the soundboard. PREAMP OPTIONS The Definity pickup reaches its true potential with a preamp. A basic solution is theDefinity Preamp, which features a phase switch, adjustable mid and treble controls (via trimpots), and a 1/4” line out. A more professional solution combines the Definity pickup with a Pure XLR Preamp. It features +/-20 db bass, mid, and treble controls, plus an adjustable input gain control. Its noiseless circuitry provides unsurpassed clarity and power and the adjustable input gain allows you to dial in the precise amplification factor needed for your instrument.

Der Pure Maccferri Tonabnehmer wird in der Gitarre unter den äußeren Kanten des Steges installiert. Er wurde entwickelt, um dauerhaft mit Sekundenkleber befestigt zu werden. Zum Einbau muss man in der Lage seine, die Hand in das Schallloch zu stecken, um den Bereich unterhalb des äußeren Randes des Steges zu erreichen. Dies kann recht schwierig sein, wenn das Schallloch klein ist. In der Regel ist das kein Problem. Sollten Sie jedoch zu große Hände haben bzw. das Schalloch zu klein sein, empfehlen wir die Hilfe eines Gitarrenbauers. Durch die Nähe zum Steg bleibt auch der perkussive Klang der Saiten im Klangbild erhalten und die Rückkopplungsempfindlichkeit ist gering.   Pure Maccaferri This pickup system mounts inside the guitar underneath the outer edges of the mustaches. On special request , we can combine this pickup with an internal guitar microphone for a Macaferri Trinity System (please call if interested). The pickups are designed to be permanently mounted with superglue. The installer needs to be able to fit his/her hand into the soundhole to reach the area underneath the outer edge of the mustaches. This can be quite difficult if the soundhole is small. However , I was able to get my hand into the small soundhole of the guitar shown below. Once I got my hand through the hole , it was actually not too difficult to glue the pickups to the desired spots. The endpin-jack can be easily mounted from the outside so no soldering is necessary. This system sounds very natural and is , in our opinion , the most true-sounding solution to amplify a Macaferri guitar on the market today. Pure XLR Preamp NEW! The Pure XLR Preamp has the same great sound and super low noise as the time-proven K Pure Preamp with the addition of a DI balanced XLR out and a phase switch. It is 9-volt battery or phantom power operated , features a 1/4" line-out , plus the XLR active balanced output in a compact package. The Pure XLR Preamp is specially designed to complement our line of Pure pickups. However , due to its adjustable input gain and wide frequency range it will work with many more applications. Phase switches are usually marketed as a feedback-controlling device , but they accomplish more than just that. Every acoustic instrument projects sound waves in a certain phase. The phase that is projected out of the amplified speaker source needs to be "in phase" with the acoustic instrument"s own soundwaves or the result will not be optimal. If the amp projects in the opposite phase , the acoustic instrument will fight its own sound and no balanced tone can develop. Round and warm tone is only achieved when acoustic and amplified sound oscillate in the same phase. The Pure XLR Preamp"s phase switch allows for instant correction of this problem. The Pure XLR Preamp features +/-20 db bass , mid , and treble controls , plus an adjustable input gain control. The special super wide band midrange filter is absolutely great in combination with the Pure pickups. Its simple and super-noiseless circuit provides unsurpassed clarity and power and the adjustable input gain allows you to dial in the precise amplification factor needed for your instrument. An LED light indicates if phantom power is present. The unit can optionally be powered by a 9-volt battery , which will not be drained as long as the phantom power provides more than 10 volt. Frequency response is 10-30000Hz. The bass control is set to roll of at 100Hz , the midrange at 1.5kHz with extra large bandwidth and the treble are set at 10kHz. Input impedance is 1 meg. Output impedance on balanced XLR and 1/4" line out is 100 Ohm. Trinity Upgrade System This system is intended for customers who already own a Pure Pickup (or a magnetic pickup) and wish to upgrade it to a Trinity System . This upgrade can be used with either the Pure Maccaferri or the Pure Floating Bridge Pickup. The Trinity System consists of: The Trinity Miniature Condenser Mic with integrated 5" gooseneck and 20-20.000 Hz frequency range. The Trinity Dual Channel Preamp with "Silent-Filter-Technology". Adjustable Gain-Vol-Bass-Middle-Treble for both channels individually. also include a 6" foot stereo cable The Trinity Microphone can be mounted in a number of positions, including elevated ones, due to its integrated 5" gooseneck. It comes with a special self adhesive gooseneck mounting hardware (as shown in diagram above). The Trinity Preamp allows perfect balancing of mic and pickup. It is built applying novel "Silent-Filter-Technology" and K&K"s full size component philosophy. We use full size capacitors and transistors because they sound better that the miniature components in most of today"s guitar preamps. Volume and gain controls, +/- 20 dB bass, midrange and treble filters for the transducer channel and volume, bass, treble and gain on the mic channel. The Pure Floating Bridge Pickup is designed especially for instruments with floating bridges. It is sandwiched between the feet of the floating bridge and the soundboard. Its special design makes it one of the most powerful systems in K&K's line of pickups. The "sandwiched" mounting position allows the pickup to "hear" the soundboard as well as the bridge and strings in perfect balance. It features an extremely high output signal, warm and powerful sound, plus it is capable of extremely high volume without feedback! If the jack is installed on the outside of the instrument, it can be installed with no (or minor) modifications to the bridge or instrument. If you prefer to install the pickup with an internally mounted jack, we recommend leaving this task to a professional. With the outside mount, the jack is installed with the doublesided self-adhesive “dual-lock” fastener, which is factorymounted to the jack (see photo). This adhesive will not harm glossy lacquered finishes. The glue residues can be removed with WD40. With unlacquered finishes, we recommend applying some masking tape to the instrument first and then mounting the dual-lock to the masking tape. If possible, use the surface of the tailpiece or tailpiece holder. The Pure Floating Bridge Pickup System works well in passive mode. However, if a preamp is desired we recommend the K&K Preamps..
