This rare guitar is a 40's/50's Castelluccia acoustic Gypsy Jazz / Django guitar - made for Beuscher and is in a good condition. This mysterious guitar is simply a piece of art. Solid spruce top. Maple back and sides. Rosewood fingerboard. And of course the original finish. It has the original typical Beuscher/Castelluccia tailpiece. We have a picture of a sound hole from another Castelluccia - so you see its the same guitar, also tailpiece and also machine head are quite the same..
This rare guitar is one of a number of instruments sold under "Paul Beuscher" label during the 1950s. Beuscher sold the instruments of luthiers who were active in mid-century Paris like Favino and Castelluccia. These instruments were usually rebranded with Beucher's own label which is not the case with this instrument. But this is clearly from the workshop of Castelluccia. It has a repaired splits, a few other small repairs in the top, and a stable neck repair.
Includes a new case.
